We are slowing down here at Albemarle Family Chiropractic. Appointments will be more spaced out as well as no longer having Friday hours. We apologize for any inconvenience this may create.

In an effort to keep pace with the ever increasing cost of doing business in Charlottesville and Albemarle County, we will be increasing our basic office visit fee from $50 to $60 ($100 if you also receive E-stim, Traction, or other modalities) on November 1, 2026. New Patient examination fee will also increase from $125 to $150. Just an FYI, the last time we had an increase in our fees was 2014.

After careful consideration, we have made an important decision regarding the future of our practice. Our office is transitioning to a private-pay practice and will no longer participate as an in-network provider with most insurance plans. This was not a decision we made lightly. After many years of caring for our patients, we believe this change will allow us to simplify the business side of the practice and, most importantly, remain focused on providing the personal, high-quality chiropractic care that our patients have come to expect.

What this means for you:

  • We will no longer be participating providers
with most insurance plans (Anthem will be
    01/01/2027).

  • Payment for services will be due
at the time of your visit. Our new fee schedule
    will be as stated above.

  • Because we have the capacity to electronically bill, we will still provide that service for you as a courtesy, we simply will not be accepting assignment. Your insurance company will determine whether it reimburses you for any portion of your care.

We understand that changes such as this can raise questions, and we want to make the transition as straightforward as possible. Our commitment to you has not changed. We remain dedicated to providing thoughtful, individualized chiropractic care and to helping you maintain your health and function. We are very grateful for the trust you have placed in us over the years.

After 34 years of serving our community, we deeply appreciate the opportunity to continue caring for you. If you have questions about the transition, our staff will be happy to discuss them with you. Thank you for allowing us to be part of your healthcare for so many years.
